Studio 1
HighLight Studio 1 has a clean, minimal, & industrial feel. Located in an old brick building in north Knoxville, the concrete floors & exposed wooden rafters create a modern backdrop and blank canvas for you to curate to fit your own unique vision. The shooting space is ~400 square feet with large front windows that let in lots of natural light. A wall of curtains separates the main shooting space from where the backdrops, additional supplies, restroom, & changing room are located.
Props & Amenities
Studio 1 provides a blank canvas you can customize to fit the unique vision of your photoshoot. Feel free to utilize the items listed below, or bring in your own equipment & styling pieces to add your personal touch. Check out our prop catalogue here in our highlighted story on instagram.
Backdrops
Utilize one of our 107” seamless backdrops in a variety of colors on our wall mounts or movable backdrop stand, all of which are included in your rental.
Colors are subject to change at any time, but may include white, tan, beige, light grey, pink, tropical green, primary red, orange, deep yellow, evergreen, & sky blue.
Other backdrops to try are a 107” white vinyl seamless, large black cloth, sheer white drapes, linen off white drapes, neutral sheer backdrop, neutral muslin cloth.

Leather Futon - Use our futon as a couch or convert into a bed & style with our white bedding.
Rugs - Use one of our neutral jute rugs or our vintage oriental rug.

Backdrops & props are included with your studio rental. We cannot guarantee what specific items will be available because they are ever changing, but we do our best to keep our inventory updated on our Instagram. These items must be left in the same condition they were found. Rental time must account for any set up/break down you plan to do during your studio use.

The studio is located at 5505 N. Broadway. When coming from Fountain City, there is a place to turn around just past the studio but it is not recommended to turn here for safety purposes. Continue on just a little bit further to Ridgewood Road and make your U-turn here where there is a turning lane provided. If coming from Halls, simply turn right into the parking lot off of Broadway.

The studio has 2 parking spots reserved during regular business hours Monday-Friday right in front of the studio. You may park in other spots if necessary, but be sure not to block the entrance to Henson’s Auto Repair garage. After 5pm & on the weekends, more parking is likely to be available as the other neighboring businesses will be closed.

There is a small restroom located in the back of the studio. Your client can use the room behind the curtains for changing outfits if they would like privacy and more space.

You will be able to access the studio with a custom lock code. Lock the door behind you & draw the light filtering curtains if you need privacy during your session.
